a. What are the people in the photograph looking at?
I think the woman in the photograph is looking at the daily happenings of where she lives, or maybe just thinking.
b. What are the expressions on their faces?
I can't see the children's faces, but I think they might just be like the woman, just thinking and troubled-looking.
c. What are they thinking?
I think the woman is thinking about an issue she has to overcome, like money or getting food for her children.
d. At what time of day might the photograph have been taken?
I think the photograph could have been taken in the early afternoon, where everyone is outside, getting clothes washed, shopping, before nightfall.
e. Where are their hands resting?
The woman's hand is resting on her face, near her lips and her other hand is inside this blanket of some sorts. Her children's hands are on her or around her. One child has his or her arms on her and the other child just has his or her head on her, his or her arms probably around his or herself.
g. When was this picture made?
In the 1930's or later.
